Cross-border e-business in China is estimated to reach 6.5 trillion yuan (US$1.02 trillion) in 2016, with an increase of 30% growth rate and 20% in the ratio of China’s total import and export trade according to China Ministry of Commerce.

In the first half of 2015, the e-commerce transactions totaled 7.64 trillion yuan (US$1.20 trillion), up 30.4% year-over-year. The cross-border e-business market will reach 2 trillion yuan (US$0.31 trillion), with an increase of 42.8%, accounting for 17.3% of Chinese import and export business market. The new opportunities and challenges to open the big market in China are coming!!

It is firstly put forwarded at the China Government Report during 2015 NPC&CPPCC that 'Internet + project'  should be made to promote the incorporation between Mobile Internet, Cloud Computation, Big Data, IOT and modern manufacturing industry, to contribute the sound development of E-commerce, Industrial Internet and Internet Finance, as well as to guide the international market expansion of internet enterprises. Since then, 'Internet +' has been all around among all industries and more and more popular in China.

Background of China Cross border eCommerce (CBEC) in Shenzhen City

Shenzhen was ranked as the top city for foreign trade import and export scale in 2015. The Shenzhen State Council therefore is a natural selection for the CBEC pilot city. Shenzhen is China’s leading e-commerce model city, and enjoys close proximity to Hong Kong (Mainland China’s largest CBEC trade partner) and acts as the main entryway to the Pearl River Delta. Shenzhen offers a full range of port infrastructure and a solid logistics base. Market analysis also shows that Shenzhen CBEC business accounts for more than 50% of the total nationwide. The China eCommerce Research Center announced this month that from January-November 2015 Shenzhen CBEC zones enjoyed a trading volume of  13.181 billion RMB, rising 131.65 % over last year’s figures.

China’s 13th Five-year Plan: ‘ Internet+ ’ will become the main power in China's economic development.

Innovation driven development is valued in the China’s 13th Five-year Plan, hence completion of Big Data industry
